Flying

Situated just 7.5 km from the capital Ibiza, ands within easy reach of all the major tourist resorts, IBIZA Airport is the island’s main link with mainland Europe and the rest of Spain.

It is just half an hour flight from Barcelona, so you can combine Ibiza and Sitges in a holiday, or you can fly directly from almost anywhere in Europe. See below:

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The main access road is the PM-801 (Ibiza-airport) motorway. An alternative route is the PM-803 (Ibiza-San José) motorway, taking the km4 exit.

CAR PARKING
There is free parking for a maximum of 15 minutes at Zona Azul (Blue Zone) for pick-up and drop-off. Parking for longer periods is available at Parking P1; the first 30 minutes are free.

CAR HIRE
Avis, Betacar Ibiza, Centauro, Hertz and Tui Cars (Ultramar Express) are all represented at the airport, with offices located on the Arrivals level.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Water: There are regular ferry crossings from Ibiza to Formentera (journey time: 45 minutes). Further information on prices and schedules is available from the airport tourist information office. Road: Taxi: Taxis run to the centre of Ibiza (journey time: 20 minutes) and to Playa d’en Bossa, San Antonio, Santa Eulalia, San José and San Juan. The taxi rank is located next to the terminal. Bus: There is also a bus to Ibiza (journey time: 30 minutes).

INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS
There is an airport information desk (tel: 971 809 000) on the Arrivals level. The Ibiza and Formentera Island Council operates a tourist information office on the Arrivals level (tel: 971 809 118).

AIRPORT FACILITIES
Money and communications: Facilities include ATMs, bureaux de change and a bank. There is also a post office in the Arrivals area. Eating and drinking: There are fast-food options, bars, restaurants, a cake shop and cafés. Shopping: Shopping includes duty-free. Shops are mostly located on the first floor, before and after security. Luggage: There is no left-luggage facility at the airport. A lost property office is situated in Arrivals (tel: 971 809 207). Other facilities: There is a first aid facility, travel agencies and over 20 tour operators.

CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES
A conference hall, equipped with TV, video and overhead projectors, capable of accommodating 80 people and 40 computers, is available to hire. For further information contact AENA (tel: 971 809 244).

DISABLED FACILITIES
The airport can be easily accessed by disabled passengers and is equipped with lifts, lowered pavements, adapted telephones and toilets. There are five dedicated spaces for disabled travellers in the airport car park. Taxis for disabled passengers are also available from Radio Taxi de San José (tel: 971 398 340).

Buses

The island can boast an extensive and regular Bus service. There are half-hour connections between all major resorts, including many of the most popular beaches. Buses run in the Summer months from approximately 7 am until 10 pm. The disco bus then takes over from midnight until 6 am, taking clubbers to and from all the major clubs and resorts.
The buses are air-conditioned and an extremely economical form of transport. Highly recommended. Ask in your accommodation for more details. See the website of the Ibiza Bus Company

Taxis

If there are 3 or 4 of you travelling, taxis are a comfortable and relatively economical way to travel. You can flag a taxi down at any time of night and day if the green light is showing. Taxis are charged on a meter system (similar to the rest of Europe).
